What is Individual Therapy?

Individual therapy is a one-on-one mental health treatment tailored to meet your unique needs, involving the setting of therapeutic goals, exploring past experiences, and learning effective strategies to manage symptoms or triggers.

At Anytime Anywhere Therapy (AAT), licensed therapists run online sessions lasting about 50-55 minutes via video or phone, in a safe, private environment, guiding you in developing the skills necessary to foster emotional well-being and lead a healthier, more fulfilling life.

This approach focuses on areas such as anxiety management, depression support, trauma recovery, relationship issues, and self-discovery and growth.

Is Online Therapy Effective?

At Anytime Anywhere Therapy (AAT), we base our services on solid evidence demonstrating the effectiveness of online therapy.

A study published in the journal Psychological Services found that online therapy is as effective as face-to-face therapy for treating various mental health issues, including anxiety and depression.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, a significant surge in online therapy usage was observed. According to a report by the American Psychological Association, 76% of psychologists reported using telehealth services during the pandemic, and many clients noted high satisfaction with the virtual format.

This research underscores our commitment to providing quality mental health support that is accessible and effective for all clients.

Getting ready for your online therapy session with Anytime Anywhere Therapy (AAT) can enhance your experience and help you make the most of your time with your therapist. Here are some helpful tips to ensure you’re well-prepared for your virtual counseling session:

  1. Choose a Quiet Space: Find a private, comfortable area where you won’t be interrupted. This helps create a calm environment that allows you to focus on your mental health care.

  2. Use Headphones: Wearing headphones can improve sound quality and minimize background noise, allowing for clearer communication with your online therapist.

  3. Prepare Your Device: Whether you’re using a laptop, tablet, or smartphone, ensure your device is fully charged and has a stable internet connection. Test your audio and video settings beforehand to avoid technical issues during the session.

  4. Gather Any Materials: If you have specific topics or questions you want to discuss during your therapy sessions, jot them down before your session. Bringing any necessary materials, like a notebook or journal, can help you take notes and stay organized.

  5. Be Mindful of Timing: Log in a few minutes early to settle in and ensure everything is working properly. This allows you to start your session feeling relaxed and ready for effective online therapy.

  6. Dress Comfortably: Wear clothing that makes you feel at ease. While you’re in a virtual setting, being comfortable can help you engage more fully in the conversation.

  7. Stay Open and Honest: Approach your session with an open mind. The more honest and open you are with your therapist, the more effective your individual therapy can be.
