Treatment Approach

I specialize in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and others.

  • A widely used therapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors, helping clients develop healthier thinking and coping strategies.

  • Originally developed for individuals with borderline personality disorder, DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices to help clients manage emotions and improve interpersonal effectiveness.

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy incorporates mindfulness practices to help clients increase awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and body sensations. This approach encourages clients to focus on the present moment, fostering emotional regulation and reducing anxiety. Techniques may include meditation, breathing exercises, and guided imagery to promote relaxation and mental clarity.

  • Person-Centered Therapy, also known as client-centered therapy, emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and the client’s perspective. In this approach, therapists provide a supportive environment where clients can explore their feelings and experiences. The therapist listens actively and empathetically, helping clients gain insights into their thoughts and behaviors while empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on finding solutions rather than delving into problems. This therapy encourages clients to envision their desired future and identify steps to achieve it. By highlighting strengths and resources, therapists help clients develop actionable plans to overcome obstacles and create meaningful change in their lives.

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy recognizes the impact of trauma on an individual’s mental health and well-being. This approach emphasizes safety, empowerment, and trustworthiness within the therapeutic relationship. Therapists work to understand the effects of trauma on clients’ lives and employ strategies that promote healing, resilience, and coping skills while ensuring a supportive and validating environment.
